BISHOUNEN

Definition of "Bishounen" - "Bi" means "pretty" and "shounen" means "boy." But bishounen are not "pretty boys" in the sense that they belong in boy bands such as n*sync or the Backstreet Boys. They are effeminite and some look like women.

The photos here are of Japanese yaoi doujinshi (boy-boy sexual relations fan magazines and comic books) and a few real life bishounen (Gackt, Toshiya, Yoshiki, Kaoru, Sugizo).

Gackt

Gackt is the former vocalist for a Japanese Visual Rock band called Malice Mizer. He is now pursuing a very successful solo career.

Toshiya

Bassist for the Visual band Dir en Grey, he (yes I said "he") is the pretty boy of the group. The drummer (Shinya) is also very feminine but personally, I love Toshiya's look and mannerisms on stage.The person in the picture with Toshiya is Kaoru.  But the man who looks like a girl is Shinya.

Kaoru

Kaoru is the lead guitarist for Dir en Grey.  He is my favourite in the group.  So sexy!!  Those two photos where he's in bed, the other person is Toshiya.

Yoshiki

Yoshiki was the drummer for X Japan before they disbanded.  He is now the manager for Dir en Grey.

Sugizo

Sugizo was the lead guitarist for the band Luna Sea before they disbanded.  He was infamous for his sexual and arrogant on-stage mannerisms, pink hair, and his trade mark "fuck-me boots."
